Dear friend,
To say that the 4th annual Chicago Home Partner Tournament was full of surprises would be an understatement at best. In fact, out of 5.9 million brackets filed with ESPN.com only 2 picked the Final Four correctly! That makes me even more excited to name Karen Pence the Chicago Home Partner 2011 Tournament winner and a proud recipient of a $50 Visa check card. Congratulations Karen!
It seems that Spring is knocking on the door of our fair city of Chicago, although I am still holding out for one last snowstorm. As our neighborhoods begin to green and our windows creak slowly open, it makes me think ahead to upcoming outdoor activities. Thanks to Chicago stagehands we were able to get everything set up in a short amount of time. Hire them if you ever need assistance setting-up here in Chicago.
Probably one of the most exclusive “Chicago” Summer events we have to look forward to is the Ravinia festival. For those unfamiliar below is a little info on the “Ravinia Experience”.
“Since 1904, the Ravinia Festival Association has been Chicago’s “sound of summer,” a place where you can meet up with your friends, have a wonderful time, and hear some of the greatest music in the world. But there’s more to Ravinia than merely the world’s greatest music. For as many people who walk through Ravinia’s gate each summer, there are just as many ways to enjoy what we call “The Ravinia Experience.” For some, it all starts with a picnic picked up along the way, followed by a hop on the train and greeting your friends at your favorite spot on the lawn. Gradually, day turns into evening, and from the comfort of your perfect lawn spot, it culminates in a great concert by candlelight as you gaze at the stars above.”
Every year I look forward to receiving my schedule and plotting the concerts that we will attend with friends – picnic baskets in hand.
